Description

Petzl carabiner - Ange S

The new generation carabiner ANGE S is an intermediate between carabiners with a classic arm and "wire" carabiners. It combines the smooth movement of a classic carabiner arm and the lightness of wire systems. Petzl's MonoFil Keylock technology and H-section give the ANGE S carabiner a minimal weight of 28 grams and an optimal weight-to-strength ratio. This makes it suitable for climbers who want to significantly reduce the weight of their gear. The characteristic shape of the lock makes it easy to clip in and out of the carabiner.

● The ANGE S carabiner is ultralight (28 g) and compact. It is ideal for mountaineering and multi-pitch routes,
On which reducing the weight of equipment is very important.
● Petzl's MonoFil Keylock technology provides smoother opening and closing of the carabiner
as well as a much longer life span compared to traditional carabiners `wire-arms'.
The arm-wire is protected from the sides against abrasions (e.g. against a rock).
● H-shaped cross-section provides an ideal weight/strength ratio.
● A cutout at the bottom of the ANGE S and ANGE L carabiners keeps the STRING in place
and ensures the correct position of the express strap relative to the carabiner.
● The rope contact surface and the stance point / through are wider,
making it easier for the rope to slide and reducing wear on the carabiner.
● The "nose" of the carabiner has a hole for removing ice, snow or dirt.
