Petzl carabiner - Ange L

The new generation carabiner ANGE L is an intermediate between classic arm carabiners and wire carabiners. It combines the smooth movement of the classic carabiner arm and the lightness of wire systems. Petzl's MonoFil Keylock technology and H-section give the ANGE L carabiner a light weight of 34grams and an optimal weight-to-strength ratio. This makes it suitable for climbers who want to reduce the weight of their gear while maintaining the ergonomics of a standard carabiner. The characteristic shape of the lock makes it easy to clip in and out of the carabiner.

● Petzl's MonoFil Keylock technology provides smoother opening and closing of the carabiner
as well as a much longer life span compared to traditional carabiners ● "wire arm".
The arm-wire is protected from the sides against abrasions (e.g. against a rock).
● H-shaped cross-section provides an ideal weight/strength ratio.
● A cutout at the bottom of the ANGE S and ANGE L carabiners keeps the STRING in place
and ensures the correct position of the express strap relative to the carabiner.
● The rope contact surface and the stance point / through are wider,
making it easier for the rope to slide and reducing wear on the carabiner.
● The "nose" of the carabiner has a hole for removing ice, snow or dirt.
